What about the other pesky insects hovering around my house?

Well, now that you know the general procedure for trapping cockreaches, the same strategy may be applied for trapping other simlar small flying insects. You won't believe how much fun it is this way! I must have caught numerous flies and other insects this way.

Well, now is the time of reckoning. Let me tell you how.

  1. Wash your hands thouroughly with a nice foaming soap, but don't wash off the lather just yet!

  2. Now, wait for a flay to well, fly by, and swoop at it with your lathery hands

  3. Repeat step [2] for every and all insects that you wish to trap

  4. After some time, you will have quite a lot of insects on that hand of yours.

  5. Wash them off thouroughly, and possibly wash your hands again

Well, wasn't that really simple, and exciting!

An effective and cheap way of trapping a cockroach.

I'm going to describe below one of the methods which is the most tried and tested by me to trap cockroaches very effectively and in a economical manner. You do not need to go to the stores to buy anything! Well, that's about how cheap this method is. And to talk about it's effectiveness, all the 6 times I've tired, I've been successful. [Yes, that's a lot of cochroaches for month!].

Ok, now I assume every listens to their dentist and brushed at least once daily. Ok, if you do so, then you have tube of toothpaste at home, and you probably do use it. Ok, when you do use it for brushing, toward the end of the entire ordeal, you spit out the foam formed by the toothpaste. Now, that happens to be just the right substance for trapping cockroaches, or for that matter many household insects. If you spit that ona cockroach, it will be rendered impotent, and will not be able to move itself. The foam will surround it, and restrict it's movement. Viola! You have trapped your first cockroach. However, take care that you aim properly, because you must try to land the foam approximately on the cockroach, so that it spreads around it instantly on impact.

Now, this trick works for both breed of cockroaches.

  1. Those that can not fly, and

  2. Those that can

If used on the former kind, then it's a simple render immoveable operation. However, the beauty of this solution lies in the fct that if used on the latter kind, then their wing motion is also restricted, and they can not fly away.

Instead of foam, you can also use the lathe generated from washing your hair with shampoo/soap. That is because while washing your hair, a lot of lather is formed. Also, shaving cream lather may be used.

For the lazy people, you may want to spend some money and get a can of shaving foam. Yes, the kind that foams on leaving the can. Just spray this over the cockroach, and you are done.

The methods above do not involve the use of poisins such as those used conventionally, so the kids are also kept safe, and the room does not smell of insectiside once the job is done. You can clean up with a simple cloth piece, and no one would know what happened there!

Hello, cockroach haters!

This is the place you guys [and gals] can post new and innovative ways of killing cockroaches. I just hate cockroaches. They are creatures that are quite adept to survival, and are known to survive in the harshest of conditions. It is said that cockroaches survived the Nuclear blast in Hiroshima on August 6, 1945!

The defintion of a 'cockroach' on the web is: 'any of numerous chiefly nocturnal insects; some are domestic pests' and can be found here.

How did I being hating these seemingly harmless things? Well, it happened one day that I was sleeping peacefully, and at about 3am I was woken up by the sense of something on my lips. I woke up to discover that it was a cockroach taking a stroll on them! Now, that's repulsive! What a place to take a mid-night stroll, or sleep-walk even...

I'm sure that you must have developed some sort of loathe for them by now. Ok, some small fraction even. So, if you want to know how to get rid of these things for ever, visit this place, and u'll be sure to find ingenious ways to do so. If you find any adroit way to do you yourself, please contribute so that you can make others' lives easier and safer.

Adios for now :-)
